Privacy Policy

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users (all users, including health professionals) of this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Website") and/or of the services or features offered on the Website, about the type of data that the entity in question GNM Healthcare Group Companies USA, Inc., namely the publisher of the Website as identified in the General Terms and Conditions of Use of the Website, is capable of collecting in its capacity as data controller (hereinafter referred to as "GNM Healthcare") during this use, as well as how they will be processed. It also specifies the rights available to users in respect of their personal data.
The personal data involving users of the GNM Healthcare Websites and services are:

  • either those provided directly by the user,
  • or those collected automatically and those enabling the use of cookies (see point 2 below).
  • The user is hereby notified and agrees that the personal data that he/she voluntarily provides to GNM Healthcare may, for certain Websites or services, be linked with the data automatically collected during his/her use of the Website or service.


    1- PERSONAL DATA VOLUNTARILY PROVIDED BY THE USER

    GNM Healthcare, the data controller, performs processing on users’ personal data for the purpose of managing your membership applications, monitoring your customer relationship and for facilitating access to its services. In order to benefit from certain features of the GNM Healthcare Websites, the user provides, by means of a form (with a checkbox acknowledging explicit agreement), personal data such as, for example, his/her professional contact details, email address or telephone number. Each form specifically informs the user of the mandatory or optional nature of each of the data requested and the consequences pertaining to the refusal to provide said data. The processing of this confidential information, whether private or semi-private, is recorded in our database and can only be accessed by GNM Healthcare staff and the host for these services. These personal data may, however, be transmitted to service providers. The recipients of the data are (i) GNM Healthcare’s partners (within the framework of institutional support, service partnerships) (ii) and GNM Healthcare suppliers (subcontractors and web hosting provider) who commit to respect the confidentiality and the security of the data, and use it for purposes directly linked to the services provided by GNM Healthcare only. GNM Healthcare ensures the data’s proper functioning, maintenance and storage and Google Cloud ensures hosting the website.
    These data are retained until the user requests to delete its contact information.


    2 - DATA AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED

    When its Websites are being browsed, GNM Healthcare automatically collects the following data:

  • The Internet address (URL) of the website from which the user accessed the GNM Healthcare Websites via a hypertext link;
  • The date and time of the visit to the GNM Healthcare Website(s), as well as its duration and the pages viewed by the user;
  • The domain and the server (host) from which the user of the GNM Healthcare Websites accesses the Internet;
  • The Internet Protocol (IP) address of the user (not stored beyond the session);
  • The operating system and browser software of the user's computer or mobile device/tablet;
  • Accesses made to the different sections of the service(s);
  • Accesses made to scientific articles, in HTML and/or PDF versions;
  • The use of search engines;
  • The use of all the ergonomic or bibliographic features made available through the services.
  • These data, collected during your navigation and which allow us to perform audience statistics, will be retained for a period of 13 months then they will be anonymized.

    2.1 Data collected via the use of cookies
    A "cookie" is a file of limited size, generally consisting of letters and numbers, saved by the Internet server to the browser cookie folder located on the hard disk of your computer.

    2.1.1 How can cookies used on the Website be disabled?

    Disabling via user's browser settings
    The user can choose to disable all or some cookies or set his/her browser to notify him/her of the installation of cookies and to be able to accept them or not (on a case by case basis or in their entirety) by following the instructions below:

  • 3 - USE OF PERSONAL DATA

    We collect your personal data with your consent in order to provide you with the best online experience as well as high-quality services and navigation. In particular and with your agreement, we may collect, retain, use and link your personal data for the following purposes:
    a) to develop and improve the products, services, communication methods and features of our Websites;
    b) to provide you with information and to manage your access to our newsletter service or any other communications service;
    c) to authenticate the identity of persons that contact us electronically or otherwise;
    d) to ensure the quality of our services;
    e) to better understand and evaluate the points of interest and desires of users and the changes that are necessary for them, in order to improve our Websites, our services and/or to develop new products and services;

    g) to generate our own statistics. These non-anonymised statistics can be, if necessary, communicated to our partners (i.e. the institutional support services) with your agreement, which you have provided by specifically agreeing to check the dedicated box at the time of your registration.


    4 - USER’S RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION AND OPPOSITION

    In accordance with the provisions of Act no. 78-17 of 06 January 1978 in relation to Data Protection and Privacy (“l’Informatique, aux Fichiers et aux Libertés”) as amended in 2004, the European Directive 95/46/EC on Data Protection of 25 October 1995 as well as the General Data Protection Regulation of 25 May 2018, the user has a set of rights available to him/her:

  • The right of access to your personal data and the right of rectification,
  • The right to data portability;
  • The right to request the deletion of your personal data,
  • The right to restrict the processing of your data,
  • The right to oppose the processing of your personal data.

    When you suspend access, your contact data (email address) will be kept for 3 years (CNIL) from the exercise of that right. This data, will in no case, be used for purposes other than the management of "right of opposition". Only the data necessary to take into account the right of opposition, will be stored. (e-mail address).


    5 - UPDATES

    This Privacy Policy may be updated by GNM Healthcare as required. In this case, the amendments made will only become applicable after the expiry of a period of thirty (30) working days from the time of modification. If you want to monitor any changes, then check this page regularly.
